Job Description:
This Sediment Management & Remediation Lead can be fully remote for those domiciled in the Mid-Atlantic region, with limited travel and does not involve extensive business development responsibilities.
This dynamic sediment team tackles a diverse range of sediment management challenges. If you are an exceptional client manager who thrives on leading and guiding a well-established client base, this opportunity might be a perfect fit for you.
What you will do:
You will serve as project lead, working on initiatives related to navigation sediment management, contaminated sediment remediation, sediment challenges in port development and infrastructure, and utilizing sediment for ecosystem restoration projects. Project locations will primarily focus on the Atlantic seaboard and Great Lakes, but you may also be called upon to support projects nationwide. We have a tremendous base of positive client relationships, resulting in a stable backlog of projects and opportunities for growth.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Project Management.
- Developing data quality objectives, field sampling plans, and quality assurance plans.
- Analyzing chemical and biological data.
- Preparing and reviewing required environmental permits.
- Evaluating dredged material disposal options, remedial alternative, and potential for ecosystem restoration.
- Preparing MPRSA Section 103 evaluations and other ecotoxicological evaluations.
- Developing cost estimates to support proposals.
- Regulatory oversight.
- Client management and development.
- Technical Proposal development.
- Mentoring early and mid-career staff.
Requirements:
- M.S. degree and a minimum of 10 years (or BS and 12 years) of progressively increasing responsibility and experience in sediment client management.
- A deep commitment to supporting clients.
- Extensive knowledge of sediment fundamentals.
- Strong desire to lead and mentor staff.
- Proven history of building strong working relationships with clients.
- valid US work authorization.
